To celebrate National Heritage Week 2023, The Quin Heritage Group organised a talk on gravestones by John Tierney in Quin Friary at 7 p.m. on Monday, August 14th, 2023.
We wish to thank John Tierney, Historic Graves. for the very informative and enjoyable talk last evening on gravestones in Quin Friary as part of Heritage Week. He had us captivated with his ‘tricks of the trade’ and engaging audience participation. Ann McNamara did a wonderful job supporting John with abundant local knowledge and folklore. We would also like to thank Pat Ryan for helping with the sound system and Pat Leamy for opening the Abbey outside of normal hours. A special thanks to those who attended and donated so generously. Your kind words, encouragement, and enthusiasm are so much appreciated.
