Malachy Hassett – publican, successful horse trainer and friend to many, is a well respected local.

He is the only publican in Ireland to have an all night siege in his bar. He relates why he locked out the Guards all night, until he opened the pub doors the following morning to ‘bring in the milk for the breakfast’.
